Cornerstone Staffing Leadership

Mike Mitchell, President and CEO

Mike joined Cornerstone Staffing Solutions in February 2023. He is a 40-year staffing industry veteran – commercial, logistics/transportation, and outsourcing – who has grown the companies and regions he’s been responsible for, all the while maintaining a culture of “people matter.”

Mike brings a well-rounded business acumen as he leads the next stage of the company’s growth. His in-depth experience in business development, operations management, strategic planning, profit and loss management, relationship building, and coaching and performance management have all contributed to his success and the strong achievements of the companies and divisions he’s led. He loves to see a company grow but more importantly, he has executed that growth and profitability by building people, teams and a strong culture mindset.

Mike has delivered models of profitability in his previous roles and shaped teams and organizations to work smarter. While Division President at ProDrivers, he took the company from $100MM to over $200MM in four years, with the last two years of record EBITDA. While at Norrell/Spherion as the Area VP – Outsourcing, Mike was known for solving problems. He has also owned/co-owned transportation companies and helped launch the startup of another company. Mike has undertaken many challenging assignments with integrity, honesty, simplifying complex processes and procedures, and enabling people to see what is possible.

Mike is a leader who empowers people and who wants to make a difference – both operationally for the company and to support people in their professional goals. He has managed organizations as large as 450 employees where he has developed training programs and provided performance management coaching within all levels of the organization.

Mike received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with heavy Accounting academics, as well, from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida.

Mike has been married to his wife, Cindy, for 42 years. They have three children and eight grandchildren. Besides his family, there are two things that he says thrill him: people and the opportunity to build and grow. He considers leadership, more specifically servant leadership, a privilege not a right, and is something that must be earned every day.
